The scientific name of the Boccaccio fish is Sebastes paucispinis. The long jaw fishes are also called with the names Pacific Red Snapper, Oregon Red Snapper and more. In the waters, these fishes could be seen in the West Coast and the Alaska region.
The length of these fishes is around 3 feet and weighs approximately up to 21 pounds. The young fishes are light bronze in color with plenty of spots on the body however, as they grow older, the colour turns dark and the spots also vanishes.
The Boccaccio’s are endemic to the waters of Baja California, the Gulf of Alaska off Krozoff and Kodiak Islands. Most common between Oregon and Northern Baja California
