Petrale fish is also known as Petrale Sole and has the scientific name Eopsetta Jordani. It belongs to the family Pleuronectidae. The fish has an oval body and is generally found in the Eastern Pacific alongside the Baja California.
The fish is dark coloured on the upper body and white in the downside. It is a commercial fish and is largely relished food in the United States.
The young fishes act as predators to other species such as cumaceans, carideans, amphipods whilst the elder ones eats shrimps, crabs, anchovy, and Pollock etc.
